In the paper, they concluded that:

This means that the natural food supplements that the participants had taken for 2 months had boosted their immunity.
In that paper, the researcher finds:
“The results of this study suggest that taking certain natural foods and herbal supplements are associated with increased resistance to infection and that the immune system may be improved by these natural products.”
